DIY COSTUMES, PART 1: TINY TOURIST

How to get lei'd: baby edition.

Step one: Dress up like a tourist.

Step two: Ask mommy for kisses.

Step three: Boom. Lei'd.

Halloween is right around the corner and if you're a busy mom like me, you know that going to a store and buying a costume can be a major chore. SOOOO we decided to get a little creative and just use what we have at home! In the next few weeks, we will be rolling out some easy & adorable DIY looks that you can re-create for practically nothing:)

Tiny man tourist: brown & black eye shadow, eye liner pencil, aloha shirt, matching cloth diaper (optional), bucket hat, plastic lei's.

For the eyebrows and stache, I used a thick clean makeup brush to apply the color. Dip the brush in a little water before picking up the eye shadow and applying. This will allow you to spread it faster and evenly. To ensure Luca stayed still for this, my hubby fed him while I worked fast to paint on the brows. I used my finger to dab and apply the mustache.  Chest hairs are optional but to create that, just use a brown or black liner pencil and draw "C's".

If you have a patient little one, get creative with the eyebrows and mustache! Their expressions are PRICELESS.  Mommy's and daddy's, get in on the fun too and dress up to match your little tourist!

To remove the makeup just use a little breast milk and wipe away...trust me, they don't call it liquid gold for nothing.
