I love these guys. Tom is learning that his fingers are pretty tasty.
Thank you to one of our amazing viewers on the coast for taking the time to "scar" Luca's name into his first pumpkin! We love you <3
I still can't believe that he was in my belly just four months ago!
I think he's ready to read the teleprompter.

Auntie Candace is such a charmer. Those smiles!!!!
Even though she's from Florida, she's one of my favorite reasons why I love Eugene so much. My best friend is better than your weather app ;)

With the birth of my son, Gianluca, my life has changed in many unexpected ways. During my maternity leave, I've discovered just how much I love being a mom. You know that phrase "It takes a village", well before having a child I never fully understood what that meant. Now I get it. A lot of you might not know this but my husband wasn't living with me full time for the last two and a half years. He would commute from Oahu to Eugene once a month because his work is Honolulu based. It worked all throughout our marriage and my pregnancy, however once our son was born, that all changed. With all of my family in Hawaii, we decided that it would be best for our sanity to be closer to help LOL!
These past two and a half years in Eugene have been absolutely incredible and it's all because of my KVAL family, friends and amazing viewers. Living in Eugene was an experience filled with 'firsts'. First time anchoring the evening news, first time scraping frost off of my windshield, first time having Dutch Bros, first time EVER going to a college football game (GO DUCKS!), first time experiencing all four seasons, first time discovering my love for yoga, first time experiencing Winco (please come to Hawaii!!!), first time seeing deer right outside of my work window, first time picking pumpkins, first time driving 2 hours to the coast just to have their insanely good seafood, first time chopping down my own Christmas tree in the snow, first time driving on ice, the list goes on and on. I loved every single minute of it and can't wait to come back to visit! Eugene will always be my second home. Here are a few of my favorite memories with my KVAL family, on-air and behind the scenes.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you Eugene and KVAL News for the wonderful memories. I'll be sure to keep you posted on my next adventures!!!
Love, Yasmin
