GO RED FOR WOMEN AND HEALTHY HEARTS

When we think of February, we think of Valentines day, sexy undies, chocolates, pink hearts, red roses, the whoooole sha-bang. But this month, in addition to the classic Hallmark holiday, lets also start thinking healthy hearts! 

February is American Heart Month & Macy's has partnered with the American Heart Association's Go Red For Women movement. From now till February 28, they will have a collection of limited edition dresses by Calvin Klein, Kensie and Thalia, and active wear by Ideology.  10% of every purchase will go to the AHA :) It's really a win-win situation for everyone here: support a great cause and look fabulous while doing it!

Heart disease and stroke kill 1 in 3 women every year...that's right, it's not just a man's disease.  I lost my grandmother suddenly to a heart attack, devastating to the entire family. She was taken away from us too soon, and I know that she would still be here with us today if she had the proper tools and knowledge to make some simple lifestyle changes. That's what the American Heart Association movement is about. As a mom, it makes me think about my health and making sure that I make the right choices for my family's future. 

The dress I have on is by Calvin Klein. This style is right up my alley with the unique cut-out neckline and rushing in the right places. I can honestly say that I'm not too comfortable in tight dresses after I had my son, but that doesn't matter because this dress has the perfect details to make any working mom look flawless! Disclaimer: I had a little help from my bff Spanx to smooth out those mommy curves ;)

MOMMY HACK: KEEPING THOSE WET WIPES...WET!

So you have a massive poopie blowout and the last thing you need is a DRY wet wipe. UGH! It happens, especially with those wipes that are in different parts of the house and aren't used as often. I learned a simple trick from a girlfriend of mine who is not only a mommy but an incredible makeup artist and stylist, Crystal Pancipanci.  She said all you have to do is....

BOOM! Yep, just store your packets upside down! All the moisture that usually sits on the bottom will now be absorbed by the top towel. So when you're ready to grab that wet wipe,  just flip it over and it will definitely have the moisture you need when it's time to clean your baby's bum. It's a makeup trick Crystal does with her makeup wipes when she's on set for a shoot and said it works just as well for your babies wipes. Thank you Crystal!
