Pinch me. Why did I ever leave this beautiful piece of heaven on earth?
May 31. According to the doc, that was the very last day that I could fly so of course I planned my last trip, pre-baby, back home to Oahu. First thing's first...maternity photos! As soon as I landed, we headed out to Lanikai and met up with my sister Shaiyanne (@shaiiishaiii) and her two friends Stevie (@prototypical808) & Chris (@bluemenpachee). I swear my sister and her friends are so talented and incredibly sweet. They just picked up photography a few months ago! Thanks guys for taking these last minute photos for us before baby G arrives :)
I'm absolutely in love with Kailua and its beaches. The sand is incredibly fine, the waters are these delicious shades of blue and there's just something so magical about those Mokulua islands.
Maybe it's the granola environment that I live in now but Oregon has made me embrace the simple and organic moments in life. I really wanted to capture that boho mama vibe so I wore a simple cream maxi lace dress from Free People, layered with their Galloon Lacy Racerback and a beautiful handmade flower crown by Makane (@ocean_dreamerr).
My dad would tell me that I looked like I had to go to the loo (bathroom) when I held my belly like that. News flash dad...I do! ALL. THE. TIME. Plus I feel like a mama bear wanting to protect her cub. Sal, my husband, was so patient and kind during the shoot...with the exception of his awkward yoga poses that he likes to strike every once in a while. But that's what makes him so loveable and for that I'm so very grateful to have him in my life. We can't wait to meet our little handsome man!
