Storing your breast milk in the freezer can take up quite a lot of space. This quick video has some easy tips for you on how to maximize your freezer space, preventing those bags from bursting in the cold.
Tip #1: You’ll want to store your breast milk in 2 to 5 ounce portions depending on how much your baby eats in a sitting. Which will also minimize wasting.
Tip #2: Before sealing the bag you want to lay it flat and try to get out those air bubbles. This will give it a uniform shape with it freezes.
Tip #3: Lay the bags on a flat surface in the freezer so that when it freezes you can stack and store them neatly! Using a small pan or tupperware in the freezer is a perfect place to put the liquid bags in until it becomes solid.
