Let's be honest, I have turned into that mom who takes a bazillion photos of their baby and loves to share every milestone with the world. I get it now, you just can't help but gush about your little human! I've come to realize that posting my events to Facebook and Instgram have become Luca's digital baby book and I'm totally ok with that. Did I save a lock of his hair from his first haircut? No. Did I save his little umbilical cord stump when it fell out? No. BUT I do have the photos to prove that I was there when it happened!
I admire those mom's who are super creative and can do chalkboard art better than their local barista. You know what I'm talking about. The photo with baby next to a standing chalkboard. They not only put how many weeks or month's they are but also include everything they are currently obsessing about.
Me on the other hand? I took the easy (lazy) route. My mom gifted me these adorable Milestone Cards for my baby shower and have been using them to document Luca's weekly/monthly growth and his milestones!
TIP: This is an awesome gift for mom-to-be's. I would also suggest using some kind of prop next to the kid to show how much he/she's grown. We used his elephant tummy time mat. Photographing your baby from the same distance each time really shows how much they have grown. As you can see I did not do this and I'm kicking myself now.
You can see Luca's transformation from a skinny mini to my little dumpling in just 3 months!
